Leopard under the Sun?
One more crazy Leopard delay theory: Apple - Sun merger under works.
Apple is getting ZFS (hopefully). Sun going to help Open Office port to OS X. Apple is readying a WebObjects redesign and new push to the enterprise with Leopard server (or so it seams). Other Sun technologies adopted in Leopards version of Xcode (I can be wrong here).
Of course there are many reasons it seems odd (Sun and iPhone? Sun and iPod? Sun and ?TV?), or just signals some sort of cooperation between these companies. Your thoughts?

Core Animation is really just Looking Glass technology

I don't see how the two are related at all. Looking Glass is an attempt at a three-dimensional desktop. Core Animation (formerly LayerKit) is a framework to perform layered two-dimensional animations.

Yeah I know ...I was just going along with the thread. Sun and Apple have always had a amiable relationship. Although a merger wouldn't be the best thing for the companies IMO.
But I know a lot of Linux users who wouldn't like this merger....like someone said, it wouldn't be a good thing for both companines.

Actually, LayerKit does support 3D manipulation of layers. It's not a full 3D engine but you can place all your layers anywhere in 3D space.
