.Mac discount...

i do hope people have noticed by now that they have discounted a .Mac membership to US$69 (just like i predicted like, uh, 800 times following their thanksgiving "sale") until, i think, the end of march.



i still don't think .Mac is worth US$99, but it has definitely been worth the US$50 i paid just for the free software and 110 kodak prints alone (which are still available for a limited time, too).

    I think it's more important for Apple to establish a reduced resubscription fee upfront. That way they will have a more likely continual income, as opposed to a one-time sales.



    For example $99 for the first year and then $59 for all years after.

    They should lower the price. I don't know how many times I've accessed .mac only to see it temporarily down. It's almost sinful that they charge you for it. I hope they come to their senses and lower it down to $75 or $59, I think then more people would be willing to subscribe. I also think that an intial fee of $99 and then $59 as frawgz suggested woud be a great idea.

    Just checked the website, and it still says $99. Where is the discount to be found?

    I think it's only when you buy a new Mac.
