The Sims for OS X

I've ordered The Sims for my mac.

I hope this is OS X compatible or native.. are there patches i need to run on X?

    I'm not sure if it comes X ready, but there is a patch available. Check versiontracker or aspyr's site.

    So long it's one of the newer-ish CDs then yea the CD has a X ready installer that (don't ask me why) installs a non-X version of The SIMS but then also on the cd is an OS X folder that has the updater to make it X friendly. If you don't get a 'newerish' CD then you'll need to download it via the aspyr web site (slow btw).

    And if you don't have the newer disks, then you'll have to have Classic installed and working as well. If that isn't possible, then you might have to install it on someone elses Mac and then move it to yours.
