UPS power usage

I recently decide to get a nice big UPS unit over my APC power bar. I have always just left the power on the but recently have decide to turn the power off on the UPS unit when my system is off. just trying to be a bit greener since I know that electrical devise draw power if they are plugged in yet off..so

I hear a click when I disconnect power from my system and another click when I turn power back on..is there any danger in hurting the power supply by this?
