.Mac account name unavailable

Hi all,



My trial for the .Mac account expires tomorrow but when I try to join and pay it tells me that my name is taken.



Is this because the membership application does not realise it's me an just see's that the name I want to continue using is taken?



I'm sure I've read about this issue before but my search of the forum didn't produce any results.



Any idea's...?

    Go to System Prefernces > .Mac > Account tab > bottom-right, select account info > sign in > there may be an upgrade button there.

    Didn't work but I've managed to do it via the .mac home page using the 'join now' button.
