iCal and Mail Revamp in Leopard

in Mac Software edited January 2014
I have to say that after seeing the Mail video preview on Apple's website (http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/features/mail.html) I am legitimately excited for the improvements showcased in both Mail and iCal in the demo.

What a vast improvement for Mail to automatically recognize dates/times/locations in email invites as well as add the option for iCal event creation right from the original email invite.

Anyone else excited about these two apps?

Absolutely. Apple is wise to build useful ? and simple ? integration between its applications, as in this iCal / Mail tandem.

I do know that a number of other board users weren't terribly excited about the new templates in Mail, but I think that many people will enjoy them. Any company that brings simple but effective design to the ho-hum world of email is doing a good service in my book.

Yup....the ability to easily capture dates and contact info from emails is great to me. Far better a feature than templates but I'm glad to have'em both.
