Help with slideshow

When I make a slideshow in FCE and or DVD studio pro they look sharp, crisp and clean, but when I burn them to a DVD they look dull, flat and blury. What is going on and how can I burn them to look sharp, crisp and clean???

    I believe this is a common problem. First let me ask: where do they look blurry? on the computer screen? on an hd or standard tv? or all locations?
