Where to buy? (MacBook Pro)

I'm looking to buy the new MacBook Pro and was wondering where I could get the best deal online. I have checked MacMall and MacConnection but they both charge tax in IL so at the moment I think I am just going to wait until Amazon offers their 150$ rebate on it and just buy from them.

Are there any other places I could get a MBP for ~1,850$?

Go to college and get the bad boy for 1799! Honestly Id look for a friend or someone who can get the student discount, but wont be using it, and see if theyd let you buy the machine using their discount. Ive done it with friends before when they bought HPs and Dells, Ive allowed them to use my discount, just had the thing shipped and billed to them. Just a suggestion. You knock 200 bucks off of all MBP models.

And you get a free iPod. You actually don't even need to prove that you're a student if you get it online (as far as I know, since they didn't make me).

Great question. I just wrote about an option on my iSwitched lens (see sig) yesterday that I think a lot of people overlook when buying: try Apple's refurbished options. Really top notch products at a substantial savings with full warranty.
