Ok, they are not taking nearly any space on ipod but.. i believe i will never want to try the ipod in the weird languages. So can i uninstall somehow the languages that i don't need?
Well, I'm guessing here, but it looks as if you can delete them from the Software Update.
Find the Updater in the Finder, Option-click and select Show Package Contents.
Open Contents>Resources, and you'll see a bunch of .lproj folders. I'd say that if you deleted those which relate to languages you didn't want, it wouldn't install them. Some have got some weird names though, so I'm not sure if all the .lproj files relate to languages...
However, they don't seem to be much bigger than 24KB each, and I suspect that the partitioning scheme wouldn't free up that space for music...
Still, if anyone wants to play, feel free: I accept no responsibility. And I'd suggest you make a copy of the Updater first, and work with that one.
It might be worth asking someone over at ipodhacks: I bet someone hanging around there has tried to totally break theirs!

If indeed you could delete the additional languages on the iPod you would MAYBE free up enough space to get 1 more second of mp3s on there.
If you really want to mess around with the iPod OS and risk crashing it you could try navigating around the volume from the command line.
