Will an iBook G3 case work on a G4 ibook?

I need to replace a hinge on an iBook, and I was thinking of doing the clear paint mod others had done earlier with their iBooks...but since mine isn't clear I can't do it. Does anyone know if the physical sizes of the cases changed or if it should fit just fine? Thanks.

    From my work with iBooks of all generations, it would appear they don't because (correct me if I'm wrong) the G4 has a slot drive while the other ones have tray drives. Unless you meant JUST the white/clear parts... then I suspect they would fit.

    The rear shell of the display lid (the part with the apple on it) will carry over, but the rest is model-specific.

    Cool, thanks. The top part is the biggest one I cared about, so I'll see if I can get one of those for a reasonable price.
