In true 'Go Banana' fashion: What would you like to see included in TV G2?

My list:

?HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player

?HI-Def capabilities.

?More Space (120 and 160 GBs)

?Gaming Capabilities (might be reserved for G3)

?Smoother Interface (can be laggy at sometimes)

That's all I can think of right now, but go bananas ((I'm sorry, I hate puns too)) with your own suggestions. Really can't be all that much since it is a fairly single-purposed device (at this point).

fix the wireless so it stays connected. i had to hard wire the thing to an airport to keep it from losing password all the time.

just be consistent and TURN ON every time i turn it on. So many black screens. It has HDMI issues up the wazoo.

I'd love widgets to be available. yes, i want the weather up there along with every widget on my desktop, in the same positions. that really can't be that hard to do. position them on the desktop, sync with apple tv, update live from internet.

plug in support would be nice for third party apps.

external HD support is a no brainer

and of course (this is coming, imho) AT&T U-Verse.

    end.

One of those hologram things from Star Wars with Princess Leia... Only it has touch sensors and reactors so I can rub my boys against her and get my moneys worth.

For tv 2.0 I want to see a further evolution of the ecosystem.

    Hardware improvements:

The next hardware must be able to do 12Mbps 1080p video.

Include a multi touch Universal remote as an option.

The HDMI ports should support CEC (Consumer Electronic Control)

The USB ports should be functional

    Add an SDHC slot

Increase the size slightly and add better cooling.

Add a matching AV Receiver with digital amplification

    Add CableCard 2.0

Optional iSight AV (designed for living room placement w/noice cancelling mic)

    Software improvements:

    Base the OS on Leopard

Front Row 3 needs the ability to setup audio video Zones via Bonjour

    Full web browsing

Add remote access so that I can log into tv and download desired files so that

they are ready when I get home.

    Partnership improvements:

I agrew with Slewis about Joost, Fickr and Picasa Web

    Add skype support

Team with a solid internet radio site

    • iTunes TV show subscription service, to replace cable.

    • Direct internet connectivity.

    • 1080p

    • Ability to browse and buy anything from the iStore from the couch.

    • Slot-load standard DVD drive, so you can throw away your big and bulky DVD player.

    • Even bigger hard drive.

    • Hi-Def rentals and downloads.

    • Optional *expensive* Blu-Ray version.

    • Ability to control it with your iPhone.

*Version 3.0 will be a television*

does the current one have wireless n speeds available for it? If it does not, the next one should.

Also, I like the ideas, keep 'em coming. (If G2 actually has this stuff I might actually buy one.)
