Fixes in multiplayer I noticed so far:

1) Cool fade-ins and fade-outs on multiplayer maps.

2) "Ping Status" graphics shows players lag in set up screen.

3) Ready indicator tells all players who is not ready in set up screen!

4) New gun icons. New camo in sniper kit 3.

5) New animated "door action" graphic (like reloading and switching weapons).

6) Faster mission loads.

7) Crisper, faster graphics.

8) Player can run AND use map at the same time!

9) Better leaderboard graphics.

10) Crisper map/command images.

11) Player's map icon faces the right way.

12) Scope has incremental zoom mag x modes!

13) Crashes LESS (but still crashes with Game Ranger)

Can I buy the Thunder Island expansion pack now?

I am now running the PC expansion pack Island Thunder. It runs well except for a couple minor texture anomolies. Any ideas? Are you playing Island Thunder?

Another great feature of the 1.4 patch:

Binoculars! Every player gets them now!

How do you use the PC version of Island Thunder with the Mac version of Ghost Recon? How bad are the texture anomolies?

I once tried playing it on my iBook 600 and found it unplayable.

    A little thread archaeology, eh?

I play it on my iBook 700 w/all settings down and 1024x768x16 and it's fine. My cable makes for smooth multiplayer.

If you don't have at least a Radeon Mobility 16mb don't even try it. Any iBook with 32mb vram should be able to handle it no problem.

An 800 MHz version iBook includes Radeon 7500 graphics. Same in the 900 Mhz. Would the extra 100 MHz make a difference?

    Of course.

I'll be more specific. Will the extra 100 MHz make a significant difference in the game play in Ghost Recon? (ie. will it "feel" faster" or look more smooth.)

What's limiting the performance of the game - the G3 CPU or Radeon 7500 graphics controller?
