iPhone ordering @ AT&T store was fine
The AT&T store in Santa Cruz, actually Capitola Mall, had only 50 iPhones on 6/29 and sold out in an hour. I went back on Saturday morning and ordered an iPhone 4g. On Tuesday I received email notification that it was shipped and on Friday afternoon I received it. The online info said via AT&T it would be 2-3 days. It was actually 4 days but with a holiday on Wednesday probably adding a day.
As an existing Cingular customer and long time Mac user, I connected to my MacBook that was on the Internet. In 10-12 minutes the entire registration process and synching was done, and I was off and running, no sweat.
End of story. Happy customer using AT&T store.
