Problem with G4 iMac and airport extreme
I've just installed an airport extreme base station (I have a cable modem) and a number of computers are working very well with it. They are:
Dual 2.5 Power Mac (connected via ethernet)
Macbook Pro 2.4 (wireless)
Powerbook 667 (wireless)
However, my G4 iMac is being really sluggish in loading web pages. It is connected via ethernet and works ok in other areas. All settings seem fine and I've tried swapping the ports and changing the cable.
When I try and load any page, there's a loooong pause and then the page loads quite quickly. It's as if there's a bottleneck somewhere. It worked fine with the previous router ... any ideas?
