Hello guys ,

I'm thinking of getting a mbp, but I need to know can it be boot-up from a external eSATA (and 1394) device ? as I would be needing to be able to swap between OS very quickly for testing programmes and things...

Thanks

It can boot from a firewire 1394 device and a USB device. It doesn't have eSATA so you'd need to get an expresscard adaptor and I'm not sure if it would boot from that.

For multiple platform testing, you can try using Parallels or VMWare.

    Hi guys,

I am pretty sure that you cannot boot from eSATA drives...yet...who knows if Apple will build in support for that.
