Good luck, but please honor your NDA if you get hired. It would take the fun out of our guessing games.

What a weird thing to say.

Yeah max_naylor, retail employee, don't reveal all the secrets now.

    Tips:

    - Know which apple apps you like the most and why.

    - Are you best with Home, Pro, Educational customers, etc and why?

    - "How much do you want to earn?"

Hope you get in before the free iPhone drop! That's exciting for you. Also, even though you are more than likely not allowed to post here while working at Apple Retail, you won't know anything that the general population doesn't. Every box/media display is sealed before arriving to the stores and is not labeled, and all product release shipments (in my experience) were timed to arrive the afternoon of the morning announcement (if not later).

Good luck in the interview. By the way, I had three interviews over the course of ~30 days, so be prepared for the background check, callbacks, etc. And have fun - it was a great job.

Well, good luck, but I don't think that Apple Store employees are let in on much. In other words, as long as you don't go posting about the new shipment of [insert product line here] 3 days before the rest of the world knows, you're fine.

I have NDAs too, not with Apple, but I do interface with companies that also work with Apple, and I am aware of some future technologies that will be appearing in Apple products. . . but I'm not going to tell.

You never know what response you'll get, when you fail to 'emoticon' on the Internets.

Grrr... the thing is I have an interview on Monday, and then I?m going away shortly afterwards, so I hope they don?t call me back whilst I?m on holiday! I was just kidding about hanging round the forums BTW, I?m fully aware that retail employees are the last to know about new products.

I hope I get through the first round! *crosses fingers*

Ok good luck. I have an interview on Wednesday, and then I?m leaving away soon afterwards, so I expect they don?t call me back whilst I?m on holiday! I was just kidding about hanging round the forums BTW, I?m completely alert that sell employees are the previous to be acquainted with about new products.

If I were hiring for apple store floor person I'd be looking for team work and an ability to connect with customers. Try to exude that.

So, I received a call a couple of weeks back, asking if I'd be interested in interviewing for a Mac Specialist position at the Apple Store. I've been applying on Apple's web site for over a year now, so of course I jumped at the opportunity. Of course, I had interviewed at the SOHO store (in NYC) once before with no results, so I didn't get my hopes too high. Then, today I got an e-mail confirming the interview and...get this...the title says:

Apple paved the way for legitimate music sales over the Internet through the iPod and its iTunes music site. iTunes' technology, and the contractual terms behind it, have become something of an inspiration, if not a template, for further deals. Since iTunes, several other companies have launched efforts to sell songs online.

Intel, meanwhile, has expended extensive energy to woo Hollywood to IT technologies. The company sponsors the Producers Guild Award dinner, for instance, and broadcast a film over WiMax at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Actor Morgan Freeman has made cameo appearances during keynote speeches by Intel execs. Later this year, Revelations Entertainment, started by Freeman and run by engineer Lori McCreary, will release a film simultaneously in theaters and on the Internet.

Just as important, the chipmaker has been a prominent member of many industry consortiums, including the Digital Home Working Group, geared toward creating digital-rights management systems and other technologies that will pave the way for consumers to swap video between devices. Intel has also tried to promote the EPC.

Apple won't pay my travel expenses for an interview in London I attended a year ago despite saying they would (£50). Should I try to take them to the small claims court? What can I do?

I attended two interviews at Apple last year. I didn't ask about travel expenses for the first one. However when they asked me back to talk about a different role I asked about travel costs and they said they would pay for it.

I was unsuccessful for both roles. However my interviewer took copies of my tickets and said he would 'sort it with HR'.

This hasn't happened. It's very irritating more than anything. Should I take them to the small claims court? I have the following emails below. Last contact was in September. But it still annoys me.

The preceding four posts are the weirdest slow motion spam I've ever seen.

Do they pay someone per post, and do you have to come up with vaguely related copy yourself? And is there a bot that creates accounts with themed names, or is that manual too?

Seems like a really tough way to get clicks.
