I cant seam to get a good resolution on the 30 inch display when connected to my Macbook Pro. I'm at my highest settings on each. Works fine with my tower...Is this all I can do? The quality off of the big display is not good when used with a laptop this way. Not sure if I'm missing something.

Full resolution on the 30-inch is only supported over dual-link DVI, which I don't think the laptop will have.

Mac Book Pros do have dual-link.

Press "detect displays" and select 2560 x 1600 resolution.

Are you in mirrored mode or extended? I find that mirrored sometimes won't go as high.
