Hi all,

DVD's contain .VOB files. And they play fine in a number of DVD player apps. Yet when those same .VOB file are copied to my hard drive I can't get 'm to play decently in any player I know. This is under OSX.3.9.

Anybody know how to deal with that?

You can use Apple DVDPlayer to play this VOB files but they must be structured the way they are with the other smaller files in the VIDEO_TS directory on the DVD.

Otherwise, try www.videolan.org VLC player to play the .VOBs

In some cases you will need to use MacTheRipper to rip the DVD to your hard disk to remove the rubbish encryption/ scrambling/ etc. etc. Worst case scenario you will need RipIt4Me and DVDDecrypter on Windows.

    Just some suggestions for now.
