Sorry dead-heads this isn't about drugs.

I have been using pc's and macs both for a while. I am ready to completely get rid of my pc but there is one program I like on the pc called "acid." It was used to mix wav samples and wav clips, was very simple, and affordable.

Any ideas on a suitable replacement?

Take a look at <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=10003&db=mac"; target="_blank">Sound Studio</a>. It's pretty simple, but it sounds like that's all you really need.

    Replacement???

<a href="http://www.ableton.com"; target="_blank">www.ableton.com</a> Check out Live2 it blows Acid out the water in many ways.

<a href="http://www.bitheadz.com"; target="_blank">www.bitheadz.com</a> has a crappy product called Phrazer but it does have a demo. I say it's crappy because their software always has too many bugs.

FYI Rumor has it that the creator of Acid works for Apple. His name is Chris Moulious. Pretty cool huh

If all you need to do is mix samples, try Sound Studio, it's a free download.

uhuh, that's not true. Well, of course, downloading doesn't cost a thing, but to use it the way it was intended, you need to pay the shareware fee of, what was it, close to $50.
