Ok so was checking this program out here http://code.google.com/p/telekinesis/ and loaded it up set up my airport to allow port mapping and tada I now have the worlds smallest AppleTV. I drove 5 miles from my house and watched an episode of 24 from my mac at home on my iPhone over EDGE. How amazing is that. I thought I would give you guys instructions on how to do this but please read all warnings on that link to understand the potential security risk at this point. I feel pretty safe being on a mac so I'm not sweating it but don't say I didn't warn you.

Ok first download the iPhone Remote software here's a link to the most current version as of this post. http://telekinesis.googlecode.com/fi...ote_0.9.21.zip

1. Run the program

2. Select any user name and password and enter them in the box.

3. Go to iPhone Remote preferences and select "Share media insecurely"

4. Click "Restart Server"

Ok your almost there, now there's 2 setups to describe. (I only know these 2 if you have a firewall or something else I can't help you.)

A. You connect a single computer to your modem directly with no router.

1. Open Safari on your computer and type in whatismyipaddress.com

3. Open Safari on your iPhone and browse to https://<YOUR COMPUTER IP HERE>:5010 Filling in <YOUR COMPUTER IP HERE> with the IP the above website gave you.

10. Back to Port Mapping Assistant and fill that airport assigned IP in to the Private IP Address field.

11. Next field 5010

12. Next Field 5012

13. Hit Continue

14. Name it in description and hit done

15. Click the Internet tab in Airport Utility and click NAT

16. Click enable default host and fill in the airport assigned IP address you got earlier.

17. Click enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol hit update

18. When you base station resets make sure iPhone Remote is running

19. Open Safari on your computer and type in whatismyipaddress.com

20. Open Safari on your iPhone and browse to https://<YOUR COMPUTER IP HERE>:5010 Filling in <YOUR COMPUTER IP HERE> with the IP the above website gave you.

21. Fill in the username and password and boom your rocking.

You can do tons of stuff like open word docs, open pdf's, open excel spreadsheets, stream movies and music, open photo's, I'm sure much more. It can even do Spotlight searches. You can do it from edge too and it's not even that bad except for movies. On wifi it is fast.

There is talk that a file named Demo has been found on the iPhone and it is believed to be the app that Jobs used to output video in his demo and someone successfully used it to output video from an iPhone to a 15" LCD. It would be cool if they get that going. Here's to hoping for streaming on iPhone to output on T.V.

If anyone manages to get it working on different setups and doesn't mind writing instructions I'll check in and update this post.
