The Apple Store is down, what is coming?

I just went to the Apple Store to order an accessory and I see it is down. It can't be updating for the new iMac, could it?

personally, i doubt it.
more likely that its along the lines of updating the background structures to enable future changes to the site.
releasing something on the last day of a month isn't really a good time from my experience.

Just the US and Canada stores are down, so it is either just a maintenance call (which happens fairly regularly late at night) or an iPhone update.
Just the same, you might want to review the posting guidelines: no new posts about the store being down. However, you did expand a little...

Does anyone know what changed, I thought it was the iMac update until I saw that it was just the US. Were those goggles that let you see video with the video ipod always there? Also that jawbone thing?
