Problem with first iPhone update
Hey Folks -
just noticed that there is an update for the iPhone available through iTunes.
BUT - upon installing & updating, an error occurred (sorry, don't have the error #) which forced my phone into recovery mode.
I'm wondering if the fact that I modded my iPhone ringtones with "iFuntastic" had anything to do with this? Rhetorical question.
Just a heads-up for any other iPhone modders out there..or even non-modders.
cheers!
ps: Recovery mode resulted in new update being installed properly. I'm not able to, with casual use, notice any real changes.
pps: Had to reenter Voice Mail password. Mail password also lost...
edit: This is purely subjective, but speaker phone & ear mic. seem _much_ louder with no loss in clarity. Second edit: yes, it is _definitely_ louder to my ear. Very nice. Also, I updated the software of my 2nd (non-modded) iPhone without a glitch...although, the process takes several minutes & appears to hang for a good long while.
