How do I quit a background appication that is "in use" so that I can trash it?
I'm running 10.4.8 on a power pc G5

Hi Scrabble,
Open Activity Monitor (from your Utilities folder), select the background app there and use the 'Quit Process' function in the top left.
Hope this helps.
