huh, thats odd for Safari to behave that way. check if your version has the .pdf plug-in. if thats not installed, then issues like yours will likely arise. try firefox to see if it acts the same way to .pdf. if not then it is for sure safaris problem. anyways, as i said b4, check for that pdf plug -in.
