Should Apple buy Alsoft's Disk Warrior?

It works much better than Apple's disk utility. What do you think?

I like it quite a bit. Just used it today to repair disk permissions.

That said, why should Apple buy it? Apple doesn't need to buy them IMO as Alsoft seem to be doing a good job here and the app isn't critical to Apple's success or strategic in gaining a new market.

Agreed with Back2Mac. Apple would generally be better off not messing around with these 3rd party developers, but instead support them through Developer Connection, etc. etc. Those that are good like DiskWarrior will live on, and those that fade away will rest in peace (StuffIt I am looking at you). Or anyone remember Norton Utilities for Mac??? Hideous. Boy, am I feeling mean today... \

A healthy world of third party software developers is a good thing.
