Ipod Rumors of release
Ive been on the internet reading rumors watching the new interface awaiting the new ipod so many rumors have been floating around but noone has givin an idea of a release date are they waiting for holiday season what is going on is it going to be touch screen or isnt is im gona have to say that interface is real bc u can barely find it nemore bc apple has made them take it down if anyone knows so things going on or just wants to talk about the release please do if youve heard any other rumors also id like to hear them i need a new one nd id like to have it b4 college starts

On to the question at hand:
In their most recent financial conference-call, Apple stated that they expected this quarter's (which began July 1) margins to be lower due to two "product transitions". We've had the iMac. So now we've a month and a half left for the other "product transistion" to happen, and it seems likely that it'll be the iPod.
Apple never in advance release launch dates for a refreshed/new product(The iPhone is an exception). Like people have mentioned September seem to be the month in which the iPod will be refreshed.

Sh!t, I wish I knew for sure what the hell was happening. Last week at a party I started throwing people in the pool, then I got thrown in, with my 60 GB iPod video in my pocket. So I have no iPod right now and I don't want to pay the $150 out of warranty replacement crap if a new one is coming out a week later. Why can't Steve ever say "Hey, sick new iPod comin' out in two weeks...That is all, thank you."? I just hope it's not one of those Nano, no one gives a sh!t updates. If i wait and it turns out to be some minor crap, I'll buy a Zune, I swear I will. lol maybe not, but I will seriously kick someone, and it'll hurt!

I work for a big retailer in the Uk and apple won't let us order any ipods at the moment. One thing for sure its got a new form factor.
