Cpnvert Microsoft 4.00 DB files to use on new Intel iMac

I have many databases on my Mac that I have created on Microsoft Works 4.0 (System 9) over the years. When I get my new Intel Mac I hear that they will no longer work. How can I convert them so they will work on the Intel Mac? Would it be advisable to use Windows Office with its Access DB.

Can I save all my databases to DVDs and then somehow load them into the new computer?

Any help appreciated!!!

It's MacOS 9, not System 9. Microsoft Works is a PPC-based (or even 680x0-based) MacOS 9 app. It cannot run on an Intel-based Mac.

It is a good thing that you files were not created using a latter version of MS Works for Windows. I would be most surprised if Access could read your files. You will be able to convert your files with MacLinkPlus Deluxe.

If you have access to a computer with a DVD burner, you will be able to burn them to DVD. However, it will be faster just to network your two computers and copy the files over.
