Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

This was kinda overlooked due to the whole Kathy Griffin thing I think. Woz was pulled over going pretty fast in his Prius, I especially like the explanation to the judge. Oh Woz.

Heh. A fucking prius. I didn't even know they could make it to 104.

    The silicon valley garage is:

    33% roadster (e.g. Porsche, S2000, etc)

    33% Ducati

    33% Prius

    . . .

    100% hypocritical.

The prius has cool features, I agree. But there are cooler cars, and buying all of that metal is hardly environmentally sound. Just get one really cool car instead of three semi-cool vehicles.

As for Woz, go for it. He's human, after all (as evident by the fact that he joined the brainless heard of Prius owners). If I were doing 104 on an empty road and the police pulled me over, I'd be pissed too. I can understand the purpose of preventing a fast driver from injuring others, but on an empty road, there's no reason other than the generation of police department revenue via tickets. This infuriates me, as do all other manifestations of wasteful government.

I agree with you, any logic that cops once had went out the window long ago. I live on a street that if we are on the street certain days at 10-1PM while the "street cleaner" is "cleaning" then we get a ticket. That is all fine and dandy, but a few times people got ticketed (including me) before 10AM. I get outside at 9:40 one morning and there's a nice yellow envelope on my windshield along with others. I paid it just because to lose the work time would cost me more than not paying it. They know most won't fight so it is a huge cash cow for them. Hmmm, both cows and cops have black and white on them.
