Business Card Scanning software
The new Apple site redesign is useless. I can't even find the link to the database of Mac software applications.
Does anyone know if there's a shareware or freeware app I can load to use my scanner to scan business cards to Address Book?
The only thing I can find is the Iris Business Card scanner.
But I don't need a scanner, since I have one. I just need the software.

Since iPhone has crappy camera, the business card software is not working on iPhone yet.
No one is selling business card recognition software on Mac or PC. They all bundle with a scanner, believe it or not. The only thing comes closer is a software on smart phones (mostly by HTC), the name of the software is WorldCard Mobile.

The video link from TUAW has a spot where the presenter talks up a Snow Leopard version with some new features. Stay tuned.

In addition, they just release the app for iPhone user. Use camera and take the business card image, then do the recognition right away. That works perfectly and only $3.99.

Penpower has plans to upgrade the English version to a new version, which is able to recognize seven different major European languages in the very near future. The languages include English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch. It is a really handy tool for you to manage your multilingual business cards.
WorldCard is another brand in this market and also launch Mac version of Business card scanner. It is named WorldCard Mac and works well with Snow Leopard.
