MBP will not boot!

Hi there,

I just get the gray screen and thing twirling around....I can get to single user mode. this is an intel mac. I did put in my mac osx and did repair the permissions....it said it did not have any to repair. I found on an older post that probably the file com.apple.nibindd.plist is keeping it from booting, but I don't know what to type to delete it.....I can get to the terminal window when I put in my osx disc. When I do a command +s, I get the black writing and it says has a bad system call and respawning too quickly throttling and goes throught this whole process and stops after 10 times.......so what can I do to fix this?

thanks
