Yes, I know we've yet to see the 16GB iPhone, expect that later this month or some time in October. Question is though, when will be seeing a 32GB version? That would be perfect for me, perfect as an iPod, and a phone.
I dont know about a 32 gig, i guess its in the works, Apple are always ahead of what you actually see.
IM guessing the next iphone will have to have some specs to make the ipod touch look sightly inferior so perhaps it could be 32 gig flash memory. I think it will be 16 though tbh.
To be honest I think I would struggle to fill 8 Gig at present so anything higher than that is of no use to me...for now lol
I think there are much more important things that the next iphone should address first before increasing in memory capacity so that it is more comparable with other leading handsets on more than just a looks and UI basis. Not that thats my personal view but the soner Apple gets video recording, 3G , Bluetooth profiles and the rest into its phones the sooner all the other Nokia and SE fanboys will shut the fuck up about how overrated the iphone is.
would love to see 32GB. My 8GB isn't capable of storing my iTunes. I have 15.33GB of music and then some video and pictures and rest of the stuff. 16GB just isn't enough.

Totally, and the actual storage on a 32GB iPhone would likely be under 30GB, after the OS, and all that jazz. How much does storage an 8GB iPhone empty of personal music or personal data hold, anyone?
we are seeing some Burning issues now, 32GB iPhone does it really matters at this point?
Like what issues? (genuine question) If they are software issues, then that could change in the future, but you're stuck with the iPhone measly storage forever. I may hold out for 32GB version, even at a really high price. The sooner Apple can squeeze in 32GB, the sooner the iPhone would be worth buying. I believe in convergence, I don't want to have to have a second iPod, besides my shuffle.

well if apple included a music streaming service that could stream your itunes music/video library over 3g or wifi, you could have as much music/video as your computer can hold.
That is another one of the apps i really want apple to make, destop streaming where you can stream music as well as a live interractive screen of your home computer to anywhere in the world. I know there have been web 2 apps for this already but it needs the apple touch.
More than 32GB iPhone, I think His Steveness' machination might be like - release a 3G iphone simultaneously in Europe as well as at home - likely around the holiday time ... ? with the same 8GB or may be a 16GB - remember his iPodTouch competes for the flash as well and he can't afford to kill either of the platinum egg laying geese.

i meant $200 price cut and aftermath effects, steve's letter and so on ...

I could fill 2 160GB iPods with my music and probably still have some stuff stuck on my computer (haven't ripped every CD yet). Figuring out which 6GB of music to have on me at any one time is a big struggle. Hopefully a 32GB model will be released this time next year.

I hope so too. Not that I have that much music though.

Well, I am a bass playing Mac fiend so I have tons of music I've collected over my life that I use as practice material. Can't wait until there's an affordable 10TeraB home server RAID available so I can rip everything at lossless for use at home and create compressed MP3/AAC/whatever files for use on the road.

32gig, I would think will take much longer maybe somewhere during the spring 2008 or summer.

The 8GB has 7.27GB after all that "jazz" lol

32GB not sure though, it seems expensive at this moment, with large Apple orders 32GB may be doable
When should we expect a 128 GB iPhone?
when the entire iPod line is replaced with iPhone, but AT&T may block this.
one way: release unlocked iPhones to Europe and asia and import it back to US!
TMobile 3G iPhone ad leak
and my earlier post about the 3g phone !!
