iMac G5 Question

I have a iMac G5, pre Web Cam model. I have noticed that recently that when I open apps, save documents that it has been running really slow. I have updated the RAM to 1GB and it still is slow. Any suggestions?

    I do photography but I store all my images on external hard drives, I have about 90GB of storage left

    Hmm.. that's interesting. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the amount of memory or free space on your hard disk. Have you tried repairing permissions? That may help. Also, backing up your data and just doing a clean install could alleviate your problems. This sounds like a software issue to me. I'd also check out the Activity Monitor utility to see if there are any memory leaks in your system.
