i quess when i read of the starbucks relationship things started to jell, SJ wants to be able for ipod users and iphone users to buy stuff from itunes independent of at&t. we have asked several times on this forum about apple creating it's own carrier of renting space, perhaps this is the future. apple has it's own high level wireless broadband service perhaps apple and google join forces. google rep is on apple board. this would also put pressure on the content providers as well

    it'd be cool if they made like nationwide wi-fi for any purchaser of any of their wi-fi enabled products. people would buy the products like mad.

    It sounds good but Apple needs to be worried about extending themselves too far. The article did a good job outlining the various possibilities and I thought the best was to partner with somebody else to do the heavy lifting. It would give Apple a lot of options but also present a huge amount of problems.

    aple has lots of cash, and i bet SJ gives himself grief for having to rely on an independent carrier, he likes to control the whole thing to give his customers the best of what apple offers.

    imagine when we renew our contract for the iphone and it's with apple....WOW i'd love to have a total apple experience

    but what about apple AND google teaming up with that spectrum, do you think apple would join with google......doens't having a google member on apples board say "we want to work together" or is it just corp doublespeak.. why then is google on apple's board if not to gain synergies.
