What's it like to work at Apple?

Can someone talk about what it's like to work at Apple..particularly the poltics and work life balance?

    I've never worked there, but with as much as Steve Jobs thanks the families of his employees, I have a feeling he pulls moms and dads away from their home life quite a bit to "think different."

    There used to be rumors of how no one would want to be caught in an elevator with Steve Jobs simply cause by the time you hit your floor you could be out of a job.



    I wonder if it's still like that. I understand a fast paced work environment but the stories of Apple are just scary. I know that Google is a pretty nice place to work at.

    I'd recommend working with an Apple Premium Reseller or Apple Authorized Reseller if you are starting out. A good taste of Apple world perhaps without the full intensity of Apple itself.
