Ipod Touch Query

I currently use a video ipod on a speaker dock system but want to purchase an ipod touch but i've noticed on tv ads that the touch displays videos in landscape mode ( lengthways ).

Is there an option to display videos in portrait mode on the itouch ? otherwise the videos wont be able to be viewed correctly if placed in the dock upright ??

    I'm 99% sure videos will only play in landscape mode on the Touch.

    Unfortunately, the new 6G iPods don't support 5G dock accessories. Even an Apple iPod Radio Remote plugs into the touch and says "This accessory is not supported by iPod".
