Volumes folder?

Hello everybody-

I have an application that I use to get HD footage to my laptop from my camera. My camera uses solid state flash cards in a PCMCIA case. When I put the card into the laptop, P2 Genie (the application I spoke of) automatically downloads the footage onto my drive, then erases the card and ejects it.

Here's my problem.. I neglected to turn on the drive that is supposed to be the "destination" drive. The software (P2 Genie) acted as if the download was taking place. It wasn't until after P2 Genie erased and ejected the card that I had noticed that the drive was turned off. So where did the footage go? It appeared to be downloading. There is a progress bar that displays its progress.

After digging around a bit, I discovered that if click on "destination" (the button you click to assign a destination to the drive) within P2 Genie and navigate in the P2 Genie finder, the path is going to a folder called "Volumes". However, If I try and search for the "Volumes" folder (any "Volumes" folder) in the Mac OS finder, it cannot be found. Odd, ay?

Any one have a clue as to how I can access this "Volumes" folder and retrieve my footage?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Jeff

Spotlight doesn't index /Volumes as well as a few other folders. To get to it, just use the Finder, go menu and go to folder /Volumes.

    Or open Terminal and type

    cd /Volumes

    ls -la
