MBP trackpad and keyboard issues

My friend is having issues with a macbook pro 2.2GHz trackpad and keyboard. They are not working, but if I use an external mouse then it works. Also im getting random shutdown messages. And its freezing on me too. whats wrong?? its only like 2 and a half months old too. we would really like some help here.

    Your help: take it to a freaking Apple Store already and have it replaced!
