Simple solution or Doomed to loose purchased songs??

I've just set up on a different computer... updated iTunes and when I plugged in my ipod and tried to transfer purchases I keep getting an error message... iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error has occured (-3221)... and it goes further to have me check my connection to my network. Oye! I'm connected, I've tried disabling my firewall... anymore suggestions??? Thanks a bunch!!!

    Make sure you try different broadband connections at different times. If you have a laptop, hotspots, wifi-enabled cafes, etc...
