VCDs in Mac OS X

Why isn't this format supported yet? The CDs finally show up in 10.1 but Quicktime can't play the .dat files off the VCD.

    macvcd came out today for mac os x..... that should do the trick.....

    If it is the one I think you are talking about their solution is to reburn the CD in a mac friendly format and then go from there. A workaround, yes. A solution, no.

    arg i dont want to PAY TO WATCH VCDS ON MY MAC!!!! but i want to! Why did apple take our abliity to watch vcds away =.[ Only way to watch them is in 9 and i'm not doing that!.

    It's probably because they just ran out of time. A lot of features got left out that way.
