Classic will not finish booting

When I boot OSX, the Classic environment will not finish booting. I get no error message - just a completion bar which never completes in the "Classic Environment starting from Macinstosh HD" window.

Has anyone run into this problem before?

Thanks.

Also, disable any third-party or unnnecessary extensions and control panels for Classic. There are still many INITs and CDEVs that can freeze up, crash, aand prevent Classic from loading. Plus, disabling these can often give a dramatic speed boost to Classic.

I had this trouble even with extensions winnowed way down. Running Disk Warrior did something to fix it.

Had the same problem. Go into your Mac OS 9 system folder and look for a folder called "Servers" empty everything out of that folder and try again.

My guess is that it's a combination of all of these things.
