Are Apple opening Apple Stores outside the U.S. fast enough?

I may as well just say it, they aren't, in my personal opinion it just seems that obvious. It seems to me the only people defending Apple in this regard, are people that either live near an Apple store, or live in the U.S.

Most people in my country (and I'd say in many others too) are genuinely not aware Apple make computers, and I'm not joking about that. It's very worrying actually.

I thought I heard they will be opening an Apple Store in Beijing next year?... Ireland, you need to start a grassroots campaign in your country! ...or just move to the US...

What we need is some Apple ads in TV, some promotions and campaigns. Real student discounts too. Not an Apple Store. We already have specialized Mac shops, and Macs are sold at the most well-known computer store as well as the most prestigious department store. That's plenty for retail.

People here generally have no idea about Macs being a viable option and Apple isn't doing anything to get the word out.

Oh my God man, how in the name of God do you turn everything in Apple's favor every time? I not only don't admire the speed they are doing it, I think it's a disgrace that they don't care enough to please people outside the U.S. As Berger was saying the other day, they way they handle Asia is an embarrassment.

I voted no... However... Malaysia is going to have it's 5th decent Apple Reseller store in December... For the first time ever in this country, Apple shops that actually resemble a proper Apple shop (still reseller shops only, no Apple official).

Rundown on Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia locations: Epicenter Pavillion Bukit Bintang, Machines - Lot 10 (December), now: KLCC, MidValley, SunwayPyramid-NewWing.

Apple barely exists as an entity in India. Fortunately for them, people are nerdy enough to go through the trouble of buying a Mac even when they suffer from bad support and a stupid sticker price. The appointment of Wipro as a distributor hasn't done anything to improve the situation. On a note, a lot of people like the iPod though.
