I would actually like to see DreamWeaver too. I'm strictly an anti-WYSIWYG kinda guy (WYSIWYGI4W ), but DW, like all Macromedia apps, has this beautiful finesse about it, I think it's the most pleasantly interfaced WYSIWYG HTML editor I've used. GoLive works just as good, but has a terrible interface, it makes it seem more bloated, you know? I also like the file/link structure maps it makes, support for PHP and whatnot (well, at least the smarts not to try and PARSE it and other such scripting), and the source editor, that's always nifty. Hope it's soon, I bet it will be. Those Macromedia folks got Freehand out mighty quick.

And you fogot to mention Golive does make lots of crappy codes to the documents, which makes it a nightmere to fix and optimze the page.
Leonis, all WYSIWYG editors "make lots of crappy codes to the documents," as you so well put it. It depends on how you use the interface, what quality control you do, and what elements you're using. I've seen wonderful pages straight out of GoLive, and horrendous, nonsensical, error-ridden pages that DreamWeaver has spewed. But yes, it's worth mentioning that--after all, that's why WYSIWYGI4W (WYSIWYG Is For Wussies )!
Just wondering: has anyone here ever tried Freeway?? It's an amazing WYSIWYG html editor that produces unbelievably clean code. It just won the 2001 MacUser award for Web design/production software, beating out BBEdit 6.1.2 and WebObjects (both worthy contenders)!!
and....wait for it......Out for OS X next december, and totally MAC ONLY!!

<strong>I'm burning to get rid of Classic and this is the only app I use that hasn't been X-ized yet.

Really? Don't you use Photoshop?
Anyway ..... well no one really knows about when Dreamweaver 5 going to come out
DW 4 is fine under Classic. Though menu is slower
Under OSX I find the 'best' FTP tool is RBrowser. It's like the file browser in OSX server. The best part--it's free
BTW, I can't load your site......I checked other Shockwave sites but see no problem...... <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I have to use BBEdit sometimes just to clean up all those mess.
strange you cant load my site. I used Director 8, so you'd need shockwave 8 to view it. But I assume you have that.
Ah well, it's a work in progress anyway. Not much to see just yet.

(ps: I'm just a user and big fan of it!!)
