Can I have Time Machine back-up to a partition on an external HD?
So I've got a 160GB SATA drive that I want to use for Time Machine when I get Leopard in the mail.
I've got a Mac mini C2D 1.8Ghz with an 80Gb HD.
I'm thinking that if I partition the 160GB drive into to parts (each part will be 80GB) I would be able to backup to one part of it and store my videos and what-not on the other partition.
Will this work?
Thanks!
Parker

That should be just fine - if you have anything on the external drive, I would back-up to DVD or whatever before partitioning (if you haven't partitioned the drive already), but backing up to one partition on your drive shouldn't be a problem with Time Machine.
Thanks a ton
