has recent aperture update fixed canon 40D support?

A quick question, my dad has recently bought a canon 40D, and was a bit miffed that aperture does not support the RAW format associated with the camera. Before he could sort it out he had to go away so he asked me to have a look ibto it for him. After some google searches it seems this is a general problem and an update should fix it.anyone know if the recentupdate sorted this?
