Leopard Finder speed appreciated

My upgrade to Leopard (archive and install) went very smoothly. Lots of things to explore and overall I like what I am finding.

The feature I most appreciate is the speed and responsiveness of the new Finder. I tried opening a folder with 3500 raw photo images in it which used to cause the old Finder to choke every time and now it just opens very quickly with no problem.

I am running an 8 core Mac Pro with a 16 gigs of RAM

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the icons bigger in the new Finder window sidebar?

That probably has more to do with it.

Leopard is faster is some things on my G4, and slower at others.

I don't think it's an option, but I don't see why they wouldn't add the option in 10.5.1

And, they should also have an option for a 2D or 3D dock, regardless of whether it's on the bottom or sides. Opinions are so mixed about the dock, I think they must give an option. It's like only have the option of buying the black MacBook if you reside on the second floor.
