Safari won't work after updating to Leopard
I just upgraded my Mac Mini to Leopard. I haven't used much software yet and had to put an update on VMWare to get that to work. I tried Safari and it won't work. When I open it it bounces a couple times and then stops and never opens. Even when I do a Force Quit it's not shown. When I send a report to Apple I get the following:
Process: Safari [168]

A few suggestions:
1) Run a permissions repair, restart and try again.
Then if you have to:
2) Delete all Safari preferences, including the cache (manually)
If that doesn't work, I might suggest trying to locate the Safari package on your install DVD to reinstall the app. I can't find a Leopard Safari download, but maybe you can. Good luck.

It looks to me like Safari didn't get upgraded and you are trying to run Safari 2. Since you upgraded and the Safari app wasn't where it expected it to be, maybe it didn't do anything? Check the Applications folder and make sure there is not a Safari icon there. If not, try running the Safari package installer on your Leopard disk and delete the version in /Applications/Internet/.
It's probably best to keep Apple Apps in the Applications folder and not under subfolders.
Oh why oh why did you upgrade when it is clear from the hundreds if not thousands of posts that upgrading will cause nothing but problems. Clean install, clean install, clean install - keep repeating that like a mantra.
Upgrade worked great for me.
