Leopard has a problem with recording input devices.
Leopard has a serious problem that can come up with recording input devices from all sources. USB, FireWire etc...
It seems to start off ok but something along the way causes a situation where the devices will send a confirmed signal to the machine and OS but something corrupts the process and adio signals no longer feed to any application of any kind. I have confirmed this on 3 machines so far.
My suspicion is that it has something to do with the remote desktop feature because of the validation error that is not correctable that has appeared in Disk Utility.
Here is the validation error and why I suspect remote desktop and a relationship to Core Audio.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAgent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Anyone else experienceing or hearing about this?
