Memory upgrade

Hi

I was looking to purchase a new imac

On the store (in the uk) to up the memory to 4gb is 500 pounds. However you can order 4gb of memory from crucial for just over 100 pounds.

Crucial claim to supply apple with memory anyway so i dont see the reason for the huge price difference. Is there any reason why getting it from apple for an extra 400 would be better than from crucial?

Thanks

G

    Not really.

Beyond the convenience of having Apple install the RAM for you, there is no real reason why you can't buy from Crucial instead.
