is there a way to run my pc games on my new imac... without installing windowns?



in new to the whole mac experience. \

    Not really. There are solutions that offer some degree of compatibility but I don't recommend them as they don't work particularly well. Bootcamp is the only way to go for a good gaming experience.

    It does. I wish they had some sort of compatibility layer in OS X that ran Windows games but I think games are so diverse that to have the best support, you really need to run the whole Windows system. Crossover tries to be compatible but it supports hardly any software at all.



    Everything else (Parallels, VMWare, Bootcamp) requires a Windows install.



    Linux users have something called Cedega, which runs some Windows games but instead of this for the Mac, the people at Transgaming have made Cider, which is used to port apps to the Mac on a title by title basis. This means they are better quality as they have to ensure they work but it also means you have to get a different copy of the game and there are still relatively few titles available:

    Yeah, I've seen CS:S running pretty well with crossover.
