10.1 upgrade cd availability

Ive been going to school in the UK now for several months and 10.1 has since been released. I didnt really want to pay £20 for the upgrade, so I went to a retail store where the free ones were supposed to be. The problem is, they gave them all out within 2 hours and since then no one has been able to get them. Even at the MacExpo they werent giving them out (Apple UK is in NO way very helpful ) . Well, Im coming home for Christams, so I was wondering if any stores still had the 10.1 upgrade. In particular is there a place is the San Bernardino area that is giving them out that anyone knows of?



If not I suppose I could go to the Glendale Apple store, but are they giving them out still?

    I haven't seen any in the Apple store. Maybe you can ask. I know that my local CompUSA still has them.

    They gave out those CDs til' Oct. 31 or while supplies last. You probably can't get them anymore.

    If you know someone who has one, then i suggest you read the thread about converting them...... and draw your own conclusions about the possibilities (after all, you are only after an ordinary copy of the installer..... not a full install version).

    The folks at a local Apple Specialist here said apple has stopped sending the upgrade kits as of 3 weeks ago. I guess the supplies last no more.

    If he knows someone who has one, why doesn't he just burn a copy?
